I can write a story here!
Sedona came late for Mom and I. We arrived on Wednesday. The weather was pleasant and sunny. Javelina Camp area was a little full when we arrived midmorning, but we found a spot with a view of rolling hills dotted with short fat cedars and mountains with the iconic Sedona red coloring in the distance.
After setting up camp we headed into town for the visitor’s center. We were both hungry, so we stopped and split a sub at the Hilltop Deli. Now that we could pay attention, we set out again for the visitor’s center. Parking is always a challenge in Sedona. Adding a large truck to the equation makes it more fun.
Karen, at the visitor’s center gave us a hand full of maps for hikes, vortexes and forestry camping along with several suggestions on each. We thanked her for her help and headed out to find a crystal shop that had been recommended to us by one of Mom’s friends.
